Program Information
An entry level program for players 4-8 years wishing to have training with experienced coaches however not ready yet for competitive academy games. The program will deliver hands on soccer skills training by our experienced coaches for its entirety on a weekly basis. A great opportunity to improve your techniques and graduate to the Chicago Sharks Academy.
The Youth Development Program “YDP” is geared towards two groups, 4-5 years and 6-8 years old. Considering there is NO Near South AYSO Soccer in the Fall and Winter, the SHARKS has this program that offers players of these ages the opportunity to develop their soccer skills at the earliest possible stage in order to be ready for ACADEMY SOCCER.
The program offers 1 soccer practice per week with the SHARKS professional coaching staff throughout the Winter period. In the Fall season only, in addition to the practice will be a tournament every other Saturday, where players will compete in-club games against one another. Players who are 7/8 years old who show great ability will have the chance to be called up to the U8/9 Academy squads for practices and 1 game during the season.
Up to 30 YDP slots are available for the Winter 2013 season.
