A program for the committed player (Under 8 – Under 14 years) wishing to play competitive club team soccer and looking to achieve success at the highest levels in soccer. A skills development program, dedicated to improving the player with our access to quality coaching and year-round competition in the NISL and IWSL leagues.
Each training session is 75 minutes (spring and fall – winter is 60 minutes). Players arrive at practice 15 minutes before the scheduled start with full practice-day uniforms, shin guards, footwear, soccer ball, and water bottle.
All players are expected to attend all training sessions. Contact your coach or team managers regarding absences and schedule conflicts.
Leagues & Games
Spring Season: 8 league games (NISL / IWSL)
Fall Season: 10 league games (NISL / IWSL)
Winter Season: x1/2 Weekly Practices & Games (In-House)

The Chicago Sharks registers its teams in leagues sanctioned by United States Soccer Federation affiliates US Youth Soccer and US Club Soccer. As of spring 2012, the Chicago Sharks Academy teams compete in the US Club Soccer member Northern Illinois Soccer League (www.northernillinoissoccerleague.com) and the US Youth Soccer’s IllinoisYouth Soccer member Illinois Women’s Soccer League (www.iwsl.com).
The Chicago Sharks club pay league fees to participate and agree to abide by the league’s rules and regulations. Each league has its own set of rules and regulations which can be found on their respective websites. In turn, the leagues provide referees, games by age and skill level, and governance.
